GrandAce Collaborates with the Cincinnati Public Library on the West End Anthem

Okay, so I mayyy be a little late posting here, but I wanted to make sure I documented it! I was recently afforded the opportunity to contribute my music production knowledge towards the creation of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library West End Branch’s anthem “Place I Want to Be”, which was written and performed by the youth in the community.

I am so grateful to have been selected to be apart of a wonderful team in Keloni Parks, Kent Mulcahy and Rayya Crawford to bring this song to life, as helping give kids access to channel their creativity is a huge love of mine. Especially when it relates to utilizing technology to do it.

My contribution to the project came in the form of the instrumental for the song. While discussing the song’s logistics, we wanted to make sure that the beat reflected the language and music that the youth are already familiar with while keeping it simple enough to be quickly understood. I think we did a wonderful job!

I’m happy to expand the use of my skillset towards avenues that aren’t solely creating for my personal career and this particular project sparked a fire in me. These kids are amazing!

Take a look!
